How Do You Know If You Have Bed Bugs

The nymphs (small eggs) of bed bugs can range in a variety of sizes. They can be anything from an apple seed-size to a poppy seed-size. Apart from that, adults will typically be sized like an apple seed. However, they do appear quite larger once they’re engorged with blood.

You will generally find the droppings of these pests looking something like dark colored bumps or stains. They appear on hard or rough surfaces, mostly the bed linen. However, they can also be seen on several other surfaces. These surfaces are usually the places where these bugs hide or feed.

These pests also shed skins due to the fact that they moult between five stages of nymph. So don’t be surprised if you encounter dead bed bug skin around your house as these are signs of bed bug infestation and you should get the area treated as soon as possible to prevent further spread.

Wherever nymphs and adults are hiding will also be the place where you will find eggs. They will be quite small and sticking to surfaces among droppings, if you notice them call and exterminator as soon as possible to prevent further spread.

A few bites from bed bugs can be either small or large welts, and others appear to have a red dot at their center. Some of the bed bugs bites even look similar to pimples or mosquito bites. Bed bug bites are also found in groups.
